The year starts in the season of Theros (Summer) on the maeina of Mounichion, ending in Eiar (Spring) in the maeina of Ekatombaion.

Sambathas (Sahm-BATH-us)  The Weeks

There are 4 weeks in every maeina, known as ‘sambathas’. They are said to have little known significance in Prosphoron, but religious practitioners of Archenism have claimed they are representative of the four Themata of Anthrôpos and Ekklesia. The first sambatha it is said belongs to Dunamis (Strength), The second sambatha to Katharos (Purity) the third sambatha to Tapeinos (Humility), and the final sambatha to Teleia (Completion).

Simera (SEEM-era): The Days

There are seven simera in each sambatha. They are said to be representative of an Aeon; the ‘Ones Above.’ The first simera, Kiriaki, is one of rest, representing the stillness of the Universe before the onset of Creation.

Our OOC Day names are provided in brackets.

  1. Kiriaki (KEE-REE-ah-KEE)- Lordsday (Sunday)

Oura (OOh-rah):The Hours

Each simera is split into two parts; Morning (Hemera), (Which is from 6am to 6pm, Out of Character Time) and Night (Nichkta) (6pm-6am). Making 24 Oura. Night contains the Witching Hour (Magistoura), when the more extreme beings creep out from their slumber to walk the world.

Witching Hour has no set duration, but a Town Crier has a position in most towns to usher the unwary of time away to the safety of their beds once the shadows grow deeper and the Fenkari (Moon) hides its face.
